Spec Focus to use Toyo Proxes R888's for 2008
NASA Spec Focus will be switching to the new Toyo Proxes R888s tires for 2008. The size will be 215/45x17. The 2007 Spec tire Toyo RA1s will still be allowed in Spec Focus until June 1st, 2008. After that date including NASA National Championship all Spec Focus must use the R888s. (info) NASA starts new Spec Focus Advisory Board. NASA's Spec Focus (SF) class focuses on the popular Ford Focus. SF is geared toward budget-minded enthusiasts looking for an affordable and fun class with rules that guarantee close competition on a reasonable budget with cars built in this century. SF allows owners of a Ford Focus to go racing by simply adding an easily available assortment of bolt-on parts and safety equipment and is a perfect starting point for aspiring new drivers to get into racing. If you're looking for a fun place to race then the Spec Focus Series is for you.
